Daniele Guerino Biasucci: Tor Vergata University of Rome, Italy
Dr Daniele Guerino Biasucci completed his medical degree and residency in Anesthesiology, Resuscitation and Intensive Care Medicine at the Catholic University of the Sacred Heart, Rome, Italy. He has been appointed as Assistant Professor in Intensive Care Medicine and Anesthesiology at the ‘Tor Vergata’ University in Rome, Italy, and he has also obtained Italian National Qualification as Associate Professor. He has research interests in ultrasound in critical care and emergency medicine, acute hypoxemic respiratory failure, pediatric critical care, neurocritical care, and cerebral microcirculation during extracorporeal membrane oxygenation. As a member of the taskforce of the European Society of Anaesthesiology (ESA) for PERSEUS guidelines, Dr Biasucci is one of the main authors of ESA guidelines on ultrasound guidance for vascular access.

Dr Alessandro De Cassai is a medical doctor working as an anesthesiologist at the University Hospital of Padova. Dr Spadaro Savino is an associate professor at University of Ferrara and consultant intensivist and anesthesiologist for the Azienda Ospedaliera- Universitaria di Ferrara. His main interests of research are focused on advanced respiratory monitoring, lung pathophysiology and imaging. His work is mainly focused on the identification of personalized approach in the ventilation management in operating room and intensive care unit. Dr Savino is Senior Editorial Board Member of BMC Anesthesiology and BMC Pulmonary Medicine and Associate Editor of Journal of Medical Case Report.
Luigi Vetrugno: University of Chieti-Pescara, Italy
Dr Luigi Vetrungo is an Associate Professor at the Department of Medical, Oral and Biotechnological Sciences, University of Chieti-Pescara, Italy and Department of Anesthesiology, Critical Care Medicine and Emergency, SS. Annunziata Hospital, Italy. Between 2002 - 2009, he was on the sub-specialty staff for cardiothoracic critical care and anesthesia, which provided clinical services for a broad range of cardiothoracic surgery, cardiac transplantation and mechanical assist device management. Following that, Dr Vetrungo was on the sub-specialty staff for Liver Transplantation and Posttransplant Unit in until 2021. He is the Scientific Director of the Lung and Cardiac Ultrasound Certified Course for the Italian Society of Anesthesia, Analgesia Resuscitation and Intensive Care since 2016. His clinical work is focused on general Intensive Care and Anesthesia.
