Dr Guglielmo Campus is a Professor of Preventive Medicine and Oral Epidemiology at the University of Bern. He began his training at the dental school at the University of Sassari where he received his degree. He has been an Associate Professor of Community Dentistry and Cariology and Pediatric Dentistry at the University of Sassari since 2014. His research interests are largely directed toward oral epidemiology, community dentistry, preventive dentistry, cariology and pediatric dentistry. Over the years, his research interests have spanned from public health dentistry, community dentistry, pediatric dentistry, restorative materials and preventive programs. Dr Campus has authored more than 200 scientific papers.
John Yun Niu, PhD (HKU), BDS & MDS (WHU), The University of Hong Kong, China
Dr John Yun Niu is a Postdoctoral Fellow in Cariology of the Faculty of Dentistry, the University of Hong Kong. He was conferred Bachelor of Dental Surgery and Master of Dental Surgery by the Wuhan University in China. He received his Doctorate of Philosophy from The University of Hong Kong. Dr Niu is a member of Conservative Dentistry and serves on the scientific committee of Temporomandibular Joint Diseases and Occlusion Diseases of the Chinese Stomatological Association (CSA). He is also a member of the International Association for Dental Research (IADR), the Royal Australasian College of Dental Surgeons (RACDS), the Academy of Dental Materials (ADM), the World Federation of Laser in Dentistry (WFLD) and the Academy of Laser Dentistry (ALD).
Berkant Sezer, DDS, MSc, Çanakkale Onsekiz Mart University, Türkiye
Dr Berkant Sezer received a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the School of Dentistry, Gazi University with a high honors degree in 2015 and a Master of Science degree in Pediatric Dentistry from the School of Dentistry, Marmara University in 2020. In 2018, he was awarded a scholarship by the University of Washington, and in the same year, he was in Seattle, United States, within the scope of the “Summer Institute in Dental and Craniofacial Clinical Research Methods.” He was awarded a fellowship by the European Organization for Caries Research (ORCA) in 2017. In addition, he and his study team were awarded the Borrow and Colgate Awards by the European Association of Dental Public Health (EADPH) in 2018 and 2019. He works as an associate professor and researcher at the Department of Pediatric Dentistry, School of Dentistry, Çanakkale Onsekiz Mart University, where he started working in 2020. He is active on the Editorial Board of the BMC Oral Health, and he serves as a reviewer in many peer-reviewed journals. His research has been primarily focused on the areas of molar incisor hypomineralization and other developmental enamel defects, minimally invasive dentistry and remineralization, preventive dentistry, public oral and dental health, forensic odontology, and dental education.
Ollie Yiru Yu, BMed, MStomat (Huazhong Sc & Tech), PhD (HK), The University of Hong Kong, China
Dr Ollie Yu is a clinical assistant professor in Cariology and assistant dean in Knowledge Exchange at the Faculty of Dentistry, the University of Hong Kong. She has been involved extensively in undergraduate and postgraduate teaching at the University of Hong Kong. Her research interests focus on Cariology, including caries microbiology, caries detection, minimal intervention dentistry, caries prevention, caries control and dental materials related to caries management. She has published over 40 articles in peer-reviewed journals. She has received more than $230,000 USD in research grants as the principal investigator. Dr Yu has also earned several international awards for her work in cariology research and dental education. Dr Yu serves as an editor for various indexed journals, a journal reviewer for multiple peer-reviewed publications, and an abstract reviewer for several international conferences. Dr Yu is a council member of the Society of Preventive Dentistry of Hong Kong and has been an invited speaker at many local and international conferences.
